IMPERIAL 1986 Universal Pictures Movie Monsters CHINA VARIANT MUMMY 8" FIGURE

Description

Imperial Universal Pictures Movie Monsters 8” The Mummy Figure (based on the Universal horror Mummy series of films starring Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Jr. and Tom Tyler) with articulated shoulders and head. Excellent condition. We’ve provided a number of views including the Imperial logo on the figure’s upper back (see photos) which is stamped CHINA (below the Universal Pictures Company, Inc. line) apparently making this a variant figure to the ones NOT stamped CHINA (all the others we saw in other eBay postings do not have CHINA). The body color is more cream colored, the hands and face more orange-ish with orange-ish highlights on the elbows than the ones not stamped CHINA and the articulation of the head and shoulders stiffer. Although showing the 1986 date we don’t know if this one was a 1986 variant or was a later “recast” marked CHINA – we’ll leave that question to you toy experts out there. In our other auctions we’re offering this same figure without the CHINA stamp along with the Imperial Frankenstein and Dracula (both stamped Made in China) and the 1980’s Imperial King Kong as well as additional Universal Monsters and King Kong figures / toys / etc. plus more horror, sci-fi and fantasy movie memorabilia
and happy to combine postage on multiple wins.
